LinoleumDesign meets natural material

Linoleum is a fiber-reinforced plastic developed by the English chemist Frederick Walton in 1860. The name is made up of the Latin terms linum ‘flax’ and oleum ‘oil’ and refers to the linseed oil, which, along with cork powder and jute fabric, is the most important raw material for linoleum.

It is a very environmentally friendly and sustainable natural material, which is characterized above all by its durability and longevity. It also offers a pleasantly soft feeling underfoot, goes well with underfloor heating and feels warm to the feet even on cold days. Due to these properties in connection with the high level of slip resistance, it has proven itself as an easy-care floor covering in the kitchen.
